Multimeter with Voltage Detector

When fixing a Saniflo or testing the electric the easiest way to do this is with a multimeter.

We use this multimeter as it has built in voltage detection which saves a bit of time when the Saniflo is giving no response, all you have to do is turn it on and hold it next to the electrical cable of the Saniflo and it glows bright red if voltage is detected.

If no voltage is detected then you know you have to check the electrical supply as it may be faulty or has been switched off by accident.

If voltage is detected then you know the problem is probably with the Saniflo itself, in that case you will then have to dismantle it to see what is wrong inside.

Also this handy little multimeter has a circuit tester function, its good for testing fuses as is the case sometimes when they are blown. All you have to do is, select the buzzer mode, put the tester wires each end of the fuse and if it beeps the fuse is good, if it doesn’t you know you have to change the fuse.

This handy little gadget saves loads of time when checking for electrical problems.
